My source for dupont DP primeirs was bought up by a larger company and that branch was closed.I can now get only NAPA crossfire products and Dupli-color products , as the closest Dupont supplier is and hour away. I'm painting my frame and body with a single stage Urethane flat black , and need to prime a few more parts. Is the dupli-color prime good to use ? What about the crossfire products, the NAPA guy is some help but says he 's not really sure what to use. I basically need to prime some bare metal parts , and then paint flat black. Any body men with some help.

i would stay away from the laq. duplicolor paints.

i would use an epoxy primer that u can use as a wet on wet sealer for the baremetal adhesion then go straight to paint with. that way u dont have to sand your last primer session.

i would try and stick with the brand that the single stage is but if u cant, find a similiar product to suit your needs.

I know Long Island has to have some Paint Jobbers around there. Like Sik says Dupli stuff is ready to spray laquer and not the best product to use with todays better choices.
