Event Coverage Australian Streetrod Nationals (some Hotrods included)

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Retroline, Apr 18, 2009.

  1. Hi All.

Here are a few shots I took at the Nationals. There are heaps more on my web site and a lot more still to add to it.

No, not most of them. If you're going to post pics, make them HAMB friendly.

    Visual effects,

over half of what you have shown is why I would steer clear of Geelong in two years. I have no interest in paying 2 years membership to an organisation that I will go to a run for 2 days at the most. I will just drive down if I go and walk in the gate like any smuck without a ride.

retroline, as for catching up with fellow rodders, I do this that often anyway that , that side of it doesn't even enter into it for me, and not that I have driven my roadster that recently, but again I have driven it a lot so that's not a reason either. We have that many great runs down here that encomp*** all of what you mention that are much more friendly in atmosphere that I really don't feel the need.

Maybe when it gets closer I will change my mind, but I can't see that happening.
    with shows such as

    Bright,
    Picnic at Hanging rock
    Queenscliffe
    Johns rod and custom picnic
    Kustom nationals
Mildura ( if you want a decent drive)
    Grampians rod run
    Port fairy
    even the tristate run.
    Chopped as you mentioned.

too much to choose from really.

horses for courses I guess, but all in all its along time away who knows what will happen. I know that regardless they will get a much better turn out thats for sure. probably 1200-1500 cars I would expect.
