Hutchins are the cats ass. Not sure on the 3800, but the Hustler straight line models rule.

A long board and elbow grease will get your car a whole lot straighter.
I love all my air tools for everything else, but when it comes to body work, I've gone back to doing it all by hand.
My air board hasn't been out of the drawer in years.

Hutchins is good stuff. Ive had the DA, finishing board and the Hustler for over 20 years. When the Hustler came out it was a production board, in other words it didnt fuck around. It was fast.

Hutchins Hustler....I still use mine...it was my first air tool, I bought it over 25 years ago!
I do all my finish work by hand, but the air tools take some of the hard work out of it.
Wouldn't recommend the dual action long board, though. Uses LOTS of air, and you can't cut a body line with it, or get too close to something you don't want sanded.

    Hey,

'bought my ATCO inline in the late sixties, ran with out a problem except a couple replacement shoes, until it was stolen in 1990. The " swap meet" special I bought to replace it is doing well.

Keep all air files well oiled!

Orbitals are for paint prep, [in my neck of the woods]. I use a hutchins hustler straight line and it's bee's knee's.

I've had by hustler for 19 years and for the last 10 its been buried down deep in the box. Be careful, you can beat the living shit out of a panel if you don't know what you're doing.
