I'm going to look at this wagon tomorrow. The guy wants $499. It has not been started in 7 years. At that price it's hard to p*** up. I'm thinking low with WW and radiars.
499 no rust cool buy. 499 rusted to **** beat all to hell gl*** missing very easy to p*** up. Been there done that came home empty left the good deal for someone else. The photos look ok might not be a bad deal.
I think thats a 57, wagons are cool, and if its rust free, even better, wagon specific parts are hard to find. Ask me how I know. Brad
I'd be all over that. Even if it was junk it would part out huge, but it looks solid, the first place they rust out is over the tops of the headlights and these look great, so does the bottom of the tailgate, I'd guess this is a very solid car. If all you did was put tires on it so it rolls, cleaned it and got the engine to start, this would probably sell for $3K. Wagons are hot.
I agree, for $500 bucks, seems like a steal. Parts alone are worth four times that. Hope it can be salvaged. I was amazed to see how many parts "Macs" has for these model years. My bro' is doing a '55 Ranch wagon and it is from Pennsylvania. Can't imagine this would be anywhere near as rusty. Go for it!! http://www.macsautoparts.com/p***.html
At that price you can't go wrong.I have owned a couple of 57 wagons and they make good haulers and cruisers. The Y block or the FE series motors are bolt in and all the power you would ever need. I had one with the Y block 312 and another I put the 352 FE and there very dependable. This one just needs a lot of TLC and for $499.00 its a huge deal.
