I don't care about if it's something that woulda been done "back then" just wanting to see how creative people have been makin roadsters and hotrod bodies out of old truck bodies, or other cars sectioned down, etc. I remember burnedup(CRX) posting a body he made out of an old bug, seen 55 ford rear ends turned into pickup beds etc, wanna see what else is out there, or if anyone has any sketches or ideas, that's cool too.

Posie "borrowed" the artwork Jeem did (after it was published in RnC) to build his latest abomination (he took a great idea and RUINED it. just my opinion.).. anyway, here is a sketch of it done by JEEM taken from some T-shirts he designed for me...

i have another 'totaly insane' body in the works, along with corresponding JEEM sketches, but i'm not ready to unveil that just yet [IMG]... but Levis Cl***ic and i also have a joint project in mind and are gathering the pieces and our thoughts. it'll be dubbed "The Orphan" and will sport major pieces from Studebaker and Desoto.. keep your eyes open for this one.... You might have seen pics of my project. It isn't radical, just using what I can find. 28-29 roadster cowl, chopped windshield, 26-27 touring backhalf with earlier suicide touring rear doors carved in. It started with plans to be a rpu with some legroom but now that the body is setting on the frame with a front axle it's talking to me and wants to be a modified with suicide front.

    here's a couple of mine

The rear panel, and the new quarter panel are made from a roof skin from a late model Chevy C10 pick up truck. The curves of the panel pieces is correct for the early T body. You can get both quarters and the lower rear panel from one roof skin, from the late model Chevy full size pick up truck.

I like the way you guys think. I'm a tin bender from way back. I've often thought about creating some wild, finned quarter pannels for an old roadster. Maybe I should step up and give it a try.

man, thanks for all the pics, thats what i was lookin for....I'm looking forward to seeing progress on those, the sedan turned pickup cab reminds me of my old 28 pickup, it was a sedan body shortened which tripped people out because it was a 28 with rounded cab rear corners and stuff. Thats the only car i ever skinned the roof opening on myself, not the best job, but good enough for the rest of the car. lets see some more pics if anybodies got em.

    Here's my new project.
No front doors. Move the cowl back, and make it like an Austin coupe.

That headlight bucket (I ***ume it's going to be a headrest/speed hump) looks like 41-46 Chevy/GMC pickup...

My truck began life as a 4-dr sedan...

Heres a shot of one of my ideas that may happen someday. These pieced togather type projects take so much time but are truly rewarding. Deuce 4dr cowl and rear panel with tudor doors and 32 pickup box shortened a bunch. Olds motor with saginaw 4 speed. Steve

The T behind the 32 was built out of flat stock by Dave Eltzholtz. He made "everything" including the door latches!
It will be at Bakersfield Oct 1-thru-3.
