...more like gaining a place to stay for the HAMB Drags! At least that's what I tell myself. (and Jay(nosurf) ) Just when you think things are groovin' along, you got your buddies in line, the kind of people who share your interests and know more than you, BAM. Real life gets in the way. My pal Nosurf and his family are moving to Kansas this week from sunny Middletown, RI. Away from the sand and surf and the likes of me. I just wanted to give Jay, Angie and the girls my best and wish them a safe move out to Kansas. (Why would anyone want to live in Kansas? ) See you on the way to Bonneville, or was it L.A., or was it Austin, or...
Lost another New Englander (actually I'd love to move back to Texas, but business and family will keep me here for quite some time)
No ****, I've been PMing Jay for the past couple of months or so but hadn't gotten a chance to meet him since I've been back. Jay, I hope the move goes well.
LOL- "always look at the bright side of life..." Well, we made it. What a friggen nightmare dealing with Uhaul. I would have liked to drive that pos off a cliff...Exhaust leak from hell, no AC. House is nice, needs alot of work but thats ok. Lots of storage, but no early fords hiding anywhere. Did have a neat old gas pump but the previous owner wanted it. I hope you guys will stop in and visit whaen you come this way. I will miss all the New England happenings, but most of all I will miss the foliage changing. Oh well, rodrun up to see the Michigan *****es maybe next fall!!! Can't wait for the HAMBdrags 2005!!!
Glad you are in and safe buddy. Now get that coupe back together and start driving. How'd the pickem up do getting out there? Are your friends still friends after having to drive that hulking m*** of **** they called a moving truck?
Welcome to the midwest Jay.Glad your trip was safe. Now watch out for tornados and get that coupe done. Dan
Lots of boxes to unpack. busy, busy, busy. I've seen a couple nice old F-1s and some 50s chevy pickemups. There isn't anything "wrong" with Kansas. I lived here for over ten years when I went to K-State. I am in Abilene, where are you?
Boy i'm going to miss yuz guys!!We'll have to have the HAMBake somewhere else now!you'll have to supply the corn for it now!! Talk to you n here & is your e-mail going to be the same? Jim PS you really are to big for my car!!LOLOLOLOLOLOL
Email will be the same Jim. And you need a bigger car! Heck- I was in Solomon Tuesday to get the electricity switched over at my house.
Don't worry 'bout missing the fall foilage from the northeast. One good nor'easter down your way and all the leaves will blow by. 'Course you could miss them in the dust.
God, I hope you didn't mean DS&O, they're crooks, and the chick that works the front desk there is nice at first, then you start getting "hidden" charges on your bill.... Eric
