    How minor?

    Easily repairable I hope.:)

  15. I had a 62 or 63 Monza, White with Red interior and a 4-spd. I loved that car until Ralph Nader killed it. Sold it to a guy at night, told him it was smoking and blowing oil, back grate completely covered. He didn't care and I'm sure he didn't see all the smoke it was putting out.

Hey, HotRodzz, have you heard of anyone mating the 'Vette transaxle direct to one of the new LS engines?

I know the G-50 is tried and true, but the ''Vette box has to be cheaper, and is designed for it, I just don't know what it would take to adapt. Likely $$$ yes, but if I don't ask, it might be as simple as unbolt torque tube, remove torque shaft, install bell housing and bolt on.

Not likely I know, but I figure I should ask, as a wrecked 'Vette would supply all the stuff required at that point.:D

Cool! I just picked up a 63 Monza. It kinda caught fire on the way home, but no big deal. I think it just needs a tune up, carb rebuild, and new tires and it will be my daily.

Hopefully I can get it here in a couple months or so.

I have been thinking about doing a Mazda rotary against a 944 transaxle for a bunch of years............would make one hell of a conversion

I've blown up only two car engines in my life. Both were Mazda rotary.
Even when they were fresh, they were the least enjoyable powerbands I ever drove.

My wife and I are driving out to Colorado over spring break to pick it up. Lots of obstacles to overcome in 09, but now we are ready.

Can't wait! I will be down at the Penguin in Manitowoc Wisconsin this summer with it.
