Compressor died and has been holding up work for a while. I decided I'd buy one of them 7.5HP 80gal units. Then I was cruising Ebay and found this one .... Well it's 3 phase ... 10HP. Can I just replace the motor with a single phase 10HP motor?
I got it Wes ... tried calling you a couple times. Thought I had left a message. PM me or give me a call tomorrow. Thanks for the response BuffaloRacer. Got any more info on the Heavy Duty start.
Anthony, Just keep your eyes open for some 3 phase motors. They almost give them away up here. You need a 10 horse or combination of motors to total 10 HP. Then you can wire them up on 220 with a start button and they will put out 3 phase. PM me for the schematics. I use this to run my mill, table saw, and welder. You can generally bet 3 phase stuff real cheap because not very many places have it. And BTW, the idler motors don't have to be real good, as they don't have to run anything but themselves.
Thanks DaBond ... I'm seriously looking at that option. Here's a little something that may have already been posted. http://www.aircompressorsettlement.com/ Kinda interesting I hadn't heard about it ...
