  2. My cousin is running a camaro clip on his with air. Works great. Rears simple stock with air, gets the job done.

My 66 has a Malibu clip the rest is a 63 frame. The track is too narrow up front it looks kinda dumb IMO.

  4. You want to swap the frame? Why?

  5. No frame fits it better than the one it came with. It's a sturdy ladder type frame that will readily accomodate any drivetrain you want. Subframing it is one way to get IFS, or look at the IFS under a Ford Aerostar van.

The 70-81 camaro/firebird subframe is the way to go.It fits with very little work and you can enjoy the way it drives as well as you can get parts anywhere and have disc brakes and power steering.

Same as hotroddon. I checked out El Polacko's unibody at the Round Up. I believe he makes a crossmember so the Dakota rack bolts in. His is set up pretty low without using bags. Shoot him a pm, I'm sure he'll help you out.

i've worked at a few different auto repair shops and it was always the dakota front ends that needed balljoints the most frequently. the newer (not newest) style ones like to wear out their tie rod ends alot also. If i were to put a dakota front suspension or clip or frame under my vehicle i would keep a close eye on those things if i was the owner. just my 2 cents.

i used a 79 camaro clip...i wish i would have waited and gone with a fatman setup....looks cleaner in my opinion. No need to swap the whole frame out.
