Everyone remembers this car...well now it's got a new owner, and in Dallas. I was amazed when I saw it at the swap meet. This guy used to own (he bought it from someone) a pretty cool heavily channeled A roadster, which he sold to someone in New York. The guy is a total knob, and likes to tell about how he built the cars. They "just finished this one up." But I got to take a closer look at the car. It does actually have a rear suspension. Looks comfortable..... When he moved from gear to gear (the damn thing actually runs!), the engine just about turned sidways....real nice motor mounts... What is the rule on how much rubber fuel line you should use on a car? Someone nees to let this guy know about it.. This looks smart. The bottom of the radiator is the lowest thing in the front...wtf?? Here's another A coupe to make your eyes feel a bit better. Buzzard made it up here in one piece. I don't get why people who could build something like this, build something like that abortion instead. I've got a couple more pictures if you're brave enough.
i dig the idea of a really low, really mod coupe, however...safety is a concern when i see motor mount that look like sway bar links. and an armrest that doubles as the transmission "tube" and a radiator asking for demo, i quit digging. the secondcar, now thats a machine!

[/ QUOTE ] When someone like him claims they "just finished it up", I'll usually ask why it's got current California plates on it? Or ask about some build details...you can tell when the doofus is lying...he'll trip himself many times. The radiator is sure to catch hell the first time it's taken on a long distance run...you need about four inches of clearance anywhere on the car to drive it without worrying about it too much. And, IMHO, if the rear tires were a tad smaller, it mite look better...now all he needs is a blower and dual fours sticking above that roof...that'd really be the cat's meow! R-
I like to just call 'em out, tell them all about the history of their car, after they've just told me their story... they usually just say "that must be a different car"... yeah, right buddy...
That guys a tool but I hope he brings his hot chick back to pistons and paint!! I could give a **** about the model a !
Unfortunately, he wont be at P&P. He says "the location they picked ****s and the day they scheduled it for ****s." The location is no more than 5 minutes from where it was last year. He also brought a '59 Chevy 4-door wagon (did they make 2-doors in '59? can't remember...) which had the two rear doors and middle sectioned removed. One of those short cars...and very bright yellow at that. Those two cars came in on a flatbed. He was driving a lifted Avalanche with Blings on it....I wish I had all of this guy's money, and none of his bad taste. Tha funniest thing I overheard from the spectators (aside from all the "now THATS a rat rod" comments) was: "Thats one of those lakesters. They race those out on the dry lakes at Bonneville. Thats why it's so low." Hahahaha.....
I am willing to bet money that he WILL show up at P&P... Sad thing is... I would rather drive ANYTHING in the world before I had to drive a plastic Avalanche... That is the worst design that I have EVER seen for a car or truck... I can't believe that this guy bought that car.... HC
Someone should just print out the 95 page rant against the car from a few months ago (including that super funny quick-n-dirty picture of the kid carrying it under his arm) and then slip it in the window like any other flyer. And if the guy shows up with the car again, please, please ask him to pose with the car.
Man... Buzzard just ain't got no drive or creativity.... If I had Buzzards car, I would make it RULE! Like this! HC
Ban the car from the HAMB. It serve's no constuctive purpose. Wait! Someone photochop it it several style's in the vein of Hero's of da HAMB. You know.... Rudy, Cole, Shine, ect. Then it can go out on a positive note. But no, that's not enough. A 5' 10" or more Built, Amazon cropped in for the icing on the cake.
Remove the roof insert, fill with dirt, plant your favorite geraniums, or pot plant, leave the wheels on it and attach a wheelbarrow handle so as to move it to ideal sunny location often. Done.
There have been more incarnations of this car in the past six months than any I have seen before. I wanna buy it and put 13" Daytons on it and hydros!

Jesus,Being surrounded ****s!That is a seriously bad *** automobile.If I was a cop I'd stop it in a heartbeat,but I Ain't!An' i'd still stop it in a heartbeat and give 'im an attaboy!Sheeeit!
I like it, but only in a "13 year old boy building a plastic model" way. You know, like a Cartoons car, but not as an actual car. If it was cheap, a quick homemade frame swap and it'd be pretty cool. Of course, it'd have to be reaaaaal cheap!
[quote however...safety is a concern when i see motor mount that look like sway bar links. Those mounts are from 55 to 57 Chevy pickups I think and also were in the cars but fastened to a crossmember.
i see the car finally got the approprite paint nothing like flat black and red wheels to say ...RAT ROD....... wheres the iron crosses and coop stickers? only then will it be greeseriffic daddio!
That guy sure likes to buy them "rat rods" don't he? I really don't have a problem with him per say, it is his money and more power to him...I just hope he is having fun. I do find it odd how he kind of figured everyone at P&P and the Round Up would just imbrace him as the king of cool and how he walked up to Tylers truck and said to his collection of followers "I could buy that." Maybe I will get lucky and he will love my 62 and "buy that." He reminds me of another person that will go nameless that just knew he was going to win a trophy at the first Round Up because he built a barn find car out of gl*** and he could just not understand why all the "rat rodders" were not falling all over themselves to see his creation. I even remember being near him when the Kennedy Brothers coupe won and he was not happy. Gee, I know everyone else on the HAMB just goes crazy over fake patina on a gl*** 32 with ra**** tails and such...just like we are all ****ers for red rims and flat black (even though I do like that). Alot of these guys think a formula exists for what is cool or that they can buy "KOOL." I know of another older person that bought a clapped out car that was built in the 80's and the plan is to through flat black and red rims on it so it will be an instant rat rod...never mind the tweed interior. I love wat wods! BTW, did'nt somebody defend the construction of that car shown in the pics. I seem to remember hyping up the fab skills of the guy who built it because he was so young. Well, glad to know he built it, and I hope he gets better because that thing appears to be badly built in the pictures. No offense to the builder because I think he is on the HAMB still...I imagine you will build great things but I hope you see the problems with that one in hindsight.
