are the pics from Joe's, in Waterloo?? I think I took the top of the carb off that bus to fix my '54??
there's a salvage yard (meyers)a couple doors down from the one i work at(sams riverside), and they have all kinds of old cars but they never seem like they want to sell any of it.
I have walked at least 80% of the place and I know I hevent seen one yet. Next time im there (usually once every couple of weeks) I will see if i come upon one...or 2 if your real lucky! lol Onelow34...any pics yet?
Guess the story behind the guy is basically, he was a preacher of all things, not even into cars and people started giving them to him and well...as we all know an addiction must have arose...not that anyone here has that problem. Pretty cool place. Prices come down btw the more you ******** with him.
Had to work early today and didn't make the yard in time. Tomorrow im waking up early and going so keep your eyes peeled!
I need to get around to some hole in the wall places around here and snap a few shots. However there is stuff in these places I want and the place shall be nameless lol. 1shot
humm some nice old iron..we have a few just south of there in missouri too..in fact i have about 300 pre 70's cars myself..i just started to sell parts offa..ive finally faced the truth..im not getting younger and will never get them all restored ... http://s202.photobucket.com/albums/aa84/rcplumley/ebay store page/
anyone remember the yard just outside of stratford ia? its gone now, was in there just before they crushed everything, it was pretty well picked over then.
Not sure if the old yard on the north west side of Monroe but he used to have a lot of good stuff. Down the end of a dead end road everything hidden by trees and could not be sen from any major roads. Another great yard is north of Redfield and yet another is just west of Panora but the guy is hardly ever there and it is pretty hard to buy anything off him.
yeah i think its a red one, i was out looking with 20twinz and i might have seen one, i could prolly take you back to it but yeah i think there is one
Look! there is something you dont see very often a bone yard car, the '51 Lincoln Cosmo, with it's windows rolled up, doors closed and hood down. That car needs to be rescued, and the '59 Pontiac too.
Banjo are you talking about all that model a and t stuff behind the the old store front building on the main drag?
