So alittle over a year ago I went over to a aviation mechanics shop where the guys that work there are also build hot rods for themselves. I do alittle fab work for these guys when they need help. Anyways one of the guys asks me if i want to see something cool, well hell yes!! So we go across the runway to a storage hanger and under the wing of a plane is a 30 model A roadster. After talking for a bit I learn it is the owner of the shops, he had taken it on trade from a guy in exchange for some other work. This thing has deffenitly been sitting in a barn for a long time but it is fairly complete and decent. So I went through the whole "whatcha going to do with that thing?" After about six months of talking him into selling it to me he finally decided he would, then we negotiated for another couple of months on price. So about four months ago I put down the cash for it but one problem, where was I going to put it? So we built a new garage to use as a shop and house hotrods only!! I fiannally got the shop straightened out so i could bring it home today. I have to finish the 5 window pickup before I can start on this one but I am already plotting and collecting parts. So far the things that are nailed down about this is a flatty with a mcculoch supercharger and a t-5, duvall style windsheild, duece rails, quickchange and wide five wheels. Since I am an ex-dirt tracker I was thinking in that direction but nice enough it would not look out of place at the brickyard. So they are still out there, you just have to look!!! enjoy

Heh...even not counting the windshield, it's still taller than its garage mate. Nice find!

That is a thought I have been having since the 5 window pickup will be "under construction" for awhile. The guy I bought the car off of also has a running 21 stud flatty and tranny he said he would sell me but after building the garage and buying the car my better half is tightning up on the checkbook a bit. Maybe I will get lucky and figure something out cause it would be fun to rip around in before i make it "pretty".
