Lots of good pre 49 cars, both professional built and owner built. My alergie to fibergl*** did kick up a bit however. Not that many vendors as I hoped for but that seems to be a sign of the times I guess. They did announce that next year at all events 1979 cars and older will be allowed in to the shows, that was not popular with a lot of people. Some power parkers, who lined up very early on Sat. to get in, were pissed that some L.A. Roadster guy coming the opposite way as the line pulled a U Turn and line jumped in front of everybody. That shows me that they are not as cl***y as they think they are. Maybe they are trying to change their image.

Just like ANY organization, there is always going to be an ***hole in the bunch making a bad name for all.( not just L.A. Roadsters)

Line cutting is not acceptable anywhere. That's a direct lack of respect. I know a number of the LA Roadster members and they are a great bunch of people, but like stated there's always a AH in any organization. Don't hold it against the club. The FOGGER

Don't like this 1979-and-under thing with NSRA. I talked to a couple of guys today that live in Bakersfield--they said that they have a lot of problems with some late-model car-types who decide that all they want to do is do burn-outs--and rip off parts either on or off cars in the area. The NSRA has had problems for years with these guys around the fairgrounds--the burn-out kings showing off.So now they are going to have the problems ON the fairgrounds.I know NSRA shows aren't real popular here on the board, but some of us has been going to these shows for years--and I sure it's a money-thing,but if anyone from NSRA is on this board, they should re-think this--maybe a 1973-type cut-off.At least that would make a little more sense. What do you think, guys?

I don't think the cutoff line should be as high as 1979. Maybe I could see it being as high as 1973, more like around 1969.
In the future as older real steel cars get harder to find, I could see the "line" being raised to around pre-1973 for many events, runs, shows, etc.
