I have details for the later block, no dwgs for the early. What exactly are you looking for?

  7. Why on earth would one machine the extended bell off and WELD a plate on? What happened to bolt drill and tap.
Seriously There has been more time spent talking about this that it would take to do it.
Me I would bolt a 1/2 steel plate to the extended bell. With a hole for the trans cut to stick through. (with the front seal retainer removed for the moment.) Set the block on its nose. Make a bushing to adapt the trrans to the crank Find the depth required by inserting the trans and seeing how much it stuck up above the plate. I would also scribe the trans bolt holes right then in the 1/2 steel plate. I would make the additional space up front alumiinum. then bore the holes in the mill for the retainer to sit in so the stans is positively located. A hydraulic throwout will work although I would probably cut a hole in the extendedbell and mount a stock pivot inside. A couple of days work I think which if you did yourself or with a friend costs nothing but material. I know when we put the volare trans on Mikes Willys 331 we probably didnt spend more than 8 hours total. It works absolutley perfect. I know because he let me drive it last fall. He has an extended bell hemi now so we will be looking at it soon for another project. What I remember most doing that was I wanted to do a compound cut on the mill. I told Mike to run the sideways feed and I ran the in and out feed. just keep the edge of the tool bit right at the line i told him. We went very slow and it worked out fine. Mike says about half way through "I bet no one has ever seen a Dutchman and a German running the same milling machine together before!" Probably not. We are both Canadian born but well aware of our individual roots. Was good for a laugh anyway.

Or you could just buy one pop it in a box and ship it. then it would be done.
