Flathead 6 exhaust?

Been awhile since I posted something, just wondering what would be a good muffler to use on a flathead six (Ford)?

Why not try a "Smithy"?..in fact two (2) would be MUCH better!

 

Wouldn't bother unless you split the manifold & dual it ...

 

I agree. When my 53 had a 6 in it, I tried a couple different exhaust set ups. Didn't sound right till I split the manifold. I ran it straight, and it sounded pretty good.... But that isn't for everybody...

 

Nothing like a Smithy to bring back the 50's sound even if you don't split the manifold for duals.

 

Split it or.... Put on a reds header which has 2 pipes! That's my plan
