I found a new car on a internet site last weekend, that did suit me, called the guy who did own it and asked for some information like: is it driveble and so on. Hi reponded that it,s in great condition and you could easy drive it home! OK hold it, I,m on my way. 225 miles trip one way for me and my wife ended up to the car. I did look ok, started it up and it was clearly not running on all four. Did some check on the plugs and notised that it didn,t fire on everyone. However did take it for a test run and all other mechanical did work ok. So I made an offer that hi accepted. Hade to go home to get back another day with a trailer to pick it up.
So went there on thursday with trailer. Everything went fine until we load it up, then the trailer collapsed! Now I,m starting to lost the mode with this car. I could picture in my head going back home to pick up another trailer to get the broken trailer back home and the another trip to pick up car !!
However after some mind game we manage to get the car up on trailer and the then securing everything with some tie downs and straps.

Here is a picture of it on its way home, you can see the back of the trailer hanging down

Back home I started to investigate the motor problems....more of that another day........

Nice looking car but I would never haul a load like that with a single axle trailer, especially 225 miles. I like dual axles with brakes, just MHO.

WOW! I've never seen that body style. Pretty different! I like it! Would like to see more pictures. The roof, windshield and beltline were the first thing that grabbed my eye.

Great lookin car, the trailer must be repairable, and you got it all home. Sounds like a real good road trip to me.

Of course it,s hauled by a car, that,s the way we do it here

  27. That is definitely worth trashing a trailer for. I don't think I'd have minded trashing the VW to get that beauty home. Great catch.

That car kicks ***! How common (or rare) are these?

Out of curiosity, can you get a good picture of the drip rail profile?? Looks like a different shape than the standard drip rails found in 32. You can email it to me if you don't want to mess with it here. scootermcrad@yahoo.com
