Greetings everbuddy! I told my buddy who just had a restored Impala stolen, I'd post this for him. White 2 door hardtop 65 Impala Super Sport, 350 engine, red interior, white paint. AC, redline tires with SS rims. No license plates. He just restored it to take and sell at the Pate Swap Meet. Had it on trailer in front of his house and thieves, took it off trailer and made off with it, middle of night. He is sick as we all are, as it was fun watching him throw this thing together from a garage find to a restored vehicle in less than 2 months. Please keep an eye out for it, either send me an email or contact the Fort Worth Texas Police Dept. I don't know if this is an isolated incident but with the economy the way it is, keep an eye on your rod! Thanks! Drag City
WTF?? A "buddy" of yours puts up a post of your supposedly stolen Impala and you don't know who he is??? HHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
Any photos to post? A white 65 SS isn't going to be that easy to ID unless you can produce some photos of distinctive items on the car that might stand out.
My impala SS was stolen on 3-23-09. It was tied down on my trailer in front of my house. I've attached pics. It was in show condition. I only had it about 10 days. I hauled it home and got sick, so it was on my trailer a week.
Fellas, When I spoke to my buddy he did not know my HAMB ID as "Drag City" so this caught him off guard. I have an update to the story and it just gets worse. The stolen car I mentioned in the original post was apparently purchased several weeks back at auction. The car he built was similar and sold before the theft . So, the car that was stolen was his latest find at a car auction from San Antonio...not his kewl build. I am sorry for not clairfying the information from the getgo but I was getting it from primarily, our mechanic...who also believed his built car was stolen. I was just trying to help out. Sorry for any concern and if you see the car in question please contact the Fort Worth Police.
To answer your other question, I don't know Drag City. It was nice of him to post, even if his "friend of a friend" infowas off a little. I bought this car already done in San Antonio.
best of luck to ya for getting it back, i guess someone saw it one day, noticed it hadnt moved another day then just drove off with it, its like the whole thing where they say have someone collect your newspapers while your are away because if the wrong person notices a lack in activity then they may rob you thinking no one is around
I agree...the confusion monster has just exploded on this one. Next time I hear that a neighbors car is stolen, I will keep quiet, not post jack and let the bandits roll down 35 with it. I was simply trying to do a neighbor a favor by getting the information out as jumbled as it was quickly and in a timely manner. Like I said next time, I'm staying quiet. Forest knows Drag City is Derik. Derik knows Capt Forest is Forest. We live one street apart from each other. Nuff, said. I hope the car turns up.
but what does bo know??? had my car stolen in dallas october 07.....it was gone in a flash, took 5 days to get word out...too late then.
I dont get it... Drag city posts the stolen car warning for Captain forest, but captain forest doesnt know that his bud drag city made the post. Then... after drag city explains the confusion, cap forest says he doesnt know who drag city is??? Scooby Doo where are youuuuuuu??!!!
I saw a very nice white 65 matching this description in Arlington last week. It was at the corner of Bowen and Norwood (near Pantego). It had different wheels, but looked like the car described. If I see it again I'll get the plates or more info for you.
