so heres the deal ! my roadster pickup is getting close to being able to squirt some color on but i'm having a hard time deciding on a final color ! narrowed it down to 3 i think ! the engine and wheels are already victory red so here's the ideas ! seafoam green with red upholstery ! color of the valve covers pictured ! victory red like the engine , with a white firewall and grill insert with white upholstery ? and the final color is a beautifull new ford truck color a really bright blue which i would go red upholstery ! thoughts , suggestions ! thanks brock !

Its in a thread around here but I saw a rpu with a nice deep blue with red interior, red wheels w/BW. I think a cream firewall would look great. Just my opinion but what do i know im just a young punk.:D
I like your rpu though it looks good now.

  4. i like the color it is now but that is just my opinion.

  5. At first I thought the green, but now Im thinking the blue. Either way it will be a big change. What you gonna run for wheels, same ones or go a different route?

I really dig the seafoam color, but would probably advise on another upholstery color choice over the red. It could end up looking "Christmas-y"? I do like the two colors together on the valve covers though, very nostalgic looking. Maybe white upholstery with the seafoam paint?? I agree with several of the other folks too...your RPU looks killer as it sits!

Blue with white interior and the engine red. What are you another one of those sneaky guys trying to fool people using T-bird valve covers on a SBF ... nice job on the sneakiness.

I would have gone with a desert sand kind of color and accented it with the orange and maybe brown

  18. I think the blue! That would look good.

Do you watch Trucks on the speed channel? They are working on a S10 I believe that is painted "anti Freeze green". Hubby has gone totally bonkers over the color, is thinking about painting our 66 Catalina in that color, but it certainly is an attention getter. The base coat is metalic silver with PPG anti freeze green top coat (not sure how many coats (?) then clear coated, it is one big eye popper!!!

Nice ride. Deep metallic blue with red or tan interior. Do not need everything to color match. A hi lite color of a yellow or something to make other colors pop. That can be done with pin stripes. Did you take any pics of valve cover adapter that you can post?

If you are even considering a non-solid dark blue, my 37 was painted an OEM '04 Mazda Stratos blue mica - seen on the 3 series sedans. Very nice, brighter and deeper than any of the regular OEM blue colors running around by any mfg. Small metalic. If there was any more red in it, it would have been purple. Way cool at night. What red paint is this? How would it look clear coated / gloss? Gary

I don't know. It was painted by the old man I bought it from. I bought it out of his storage when he moved to retirement home. I assume it is a single stage enamel. I'll ask him next time I see him. Looked better quality than tractor paint to me. Red tractor paint is only about $30 a gallon but is softer and fades quickly. This one had a hard finish but not clear coated.

Thanx. I'm about equally torn between a color like this (a faded red but not chalky) and a "light" maroon for my new project. Gary
