T350 tail shaft housing??

Can the tail shaft housing on a t350 be rotated 180 degrees so that the speedometer gear is on either side? Reason I am asking is I had a trans to mock up with and the speedometer hook up was on the bottom/drivers side, got a remanufactured trans and the speedometer hook up is on the top/passenger side. Did it get put on wrong or can it go either side? Thanks.

they installed it upside down, just unbolt it and put it th eright way

 

Yes but it is not on the tail shaft housing.

 

400 has mount on the tailhousing, 350 it's on the case....
