Here is one of my babys...the first pics are how I got her, the one is finished! We do a vintage bike cruise every Tuesday rain or shine! Pretty fun... I'll have to take a picture of the gang and upload it!

I bought this because I thought it looked cool. Now I realize it is just in the way and I am trying to sell it. 1959 Rollfast with Firestone 500 markings. All original except for one tire as far as I can tell. Even the tank light works, but the lens is missing.

Here is my first custom project I did when I was 14 (11 years ago) with lots of help from Dad and his plating abilities. Built from a bare 1968 Sting-Ray frame laying in a pile of old bikes behind the shop at the time. A neat fact, the original color of the frame was coppertone.

Pretty cool stuff in this old thread. Here's a couple of my project bikes, not custom but some of you might find it interesting.

This is a mid seventies Mercurio Tricyclo from Mexico. Sort of a poor mans truck or lunch wagon.

I bought this Columbia tandem at an estate sale. If anyone can tell me the age of it, I'd love to know. This is exactly how I found it as I haven't done anything to it yet.

I love the fenders on this bike, that ridge will end up on my trucks cycle fenders.

  19. This is a pre-war Colson that I bought for my 11 year old. We haven't recovered the old seat yet, but she had me swap the seat from her "regular" bike to this one, so she can ride it instead.

I have the fenders for it, but they are pretty rough, and she says that she doesn't want them on the bike.

This is a great tradition, Rug Rats mimicking on their bikes what dad does with the cars. Big Jim Dunn raced a rear engine funny car in the 70's. His son Mike Dunn (who is now an E.S.P.N. commentator for the N.H.R.A.) at the same timed used to drag race his Schwinn. He would do fire burn outs on his bicycle, and pop a little chute at the end of the race. It was so cool to watch, as it was nothing more than his way of acting out his admiration for his father. The whole thing can be seen in the documentary film "Funny Car Summer". More power to you my friend, keep those little Rug Rats turning wrenches! Best of luck.

heres my schwinn T&C i bought for 50 bucks about 4 or 5 years ago. i only rode it for 2 weeks and then i ruined one of the rear wheels doing a 2 wheeled turn haha

now with a swapmeet coming up next weekend i hope to get it riding so i have something with storage. i need to modify the hubs of the 20" wheels i have on the back so i can ride it again. after the swapmeet i am taking it apart and painting it, i might do some custom sheetmetal work on it as well.
