Wow Don. What luck you have! Really cool car. you're a lucky man..
    Museum??? you have a museum?
I remember this car running the track in the day during the late 60's early 70's
I believe the black one was a different car.

When I first came on the Hamb, my hamb name was Curator, as many old time hambers will remember. I changed it to my regular name as I **** at names and hoped everyone would follow suit:D Anyhow, I am building my own personal musuem here, like Big Daddy, only I am doing it on my stay at home dad wage:D:D You are more than welcome to visit anytime....Don

For the people who ***** about drag cars being turned into street rods, remember, drag cars were usually cut up and the parts ****tered across the country back then. Having it turned into a street car has saved many a race car from total extinction. The Stone Woods and Cook "B" car is one example I can relate to. Its not always a bad thing. I'm sure Don will do this car right and get another cover eventually.

Great car keep posting lots of photos,Good luck with the restoration,
Spike your right a lot of G***er's did get turned in to street rods, I own
the Hamberis & Mitchell Hippie 33 willys and use it on the street it looks
a lot like it did in 67 with the paint and decals wouldn't take a lot to put it back to a G***er, Also the Black Hart Automotive 33 willys has just come up on ebay,

I saw that car at the reunion last year....Does anybody know the Hart Automotive story? Did they have 2 cars at the same time, or build one, then the other? I was hoping to talk to the guys with that car....your right about the 1/4 times too, I thought the car was faster at THompson....

History. pure determination. the white 33 willys did belong to Mickey hart from hart automotive then larry covert bought it from mickey hart. Larry already had a 34 ford running a/gas and the 33 was going to run aa/gas larrys 34 was called determination and the 33 was called pure determination.ronnie wilson did,nt much to the car but built the motor for it the times it was running it had the motor from larry,s 34 in it.larry raced it about 2 years and went back to the 34. most of the racing was done on the street with it. I remember the first time Larry raced the car any where was on Euclid ave down from manners it was against a blown 55 chevy.it was kool seeing the shutes open on the road.

It has been a while since I updated this, so just a quick note, but this is back on the front burner and I will have more to come. The black version was the early version, then the car was painted white in a couple seasons for the Cleveland Auto-Rama....
