My brother sent me these pics , his neighbor scored this 51 Nash for $500 , valves are stuck , but otherwise near mint shape . here it is getting its first bath in 30 years , 37,000 mile original , stored in a barn since 1979.
Turn it over and take a bath .......Looks in great shape. $ 500 beans man thats a good buy. Good Luck
When I was a kid a looong time ago, I remember that fathers prohibited their daughters to date any young man who owned one, in other words a potential moving motel ..LOL
Learned to drive in my dad's 51 Nash. Thought it was ugly then. Now I think it's kinda kool. Funny how time will change things. A valve would stick once in a while in dad's Nash too. He would pump in a gallon of diesel then finish filling with regular. He claimed the Nash had a 20 gallon tank. After a few miles you could just hear the valve slowly make less and less noise until it was quiet again. The theory of course is the oil in the diesel lubricates the valves.
I'd love that car for the wife to drive! drop in a nice v6 with an auto with a super quiet exhaust dropped to the ground!
Excelent find: I have to show this to my brother, he had a few many years back and still drools when he spots a good one. Keep it & cruise it.
Found a trunk lid for one of those recently. If anyone is interested PM me. Also could get bumper and at least 1 tailight housing.
i have a 50 Nash......might be o/t but started to pro-street it........dont flame me to bad.....im an OLD guy.....
Great Deal. But it makes up for the ones that got away. At least it found a good home. Instead of some Dealer getting it and putting it on a lot for thousands. Some people just deserve a good deal.. see... What goes around comes around. in a good way here.
those old Nashes are incredibly cool. prolly not so much around 1960 when they were just funny lookin used cars. bet you couldn't give them away
