I started a build thread on the rotary wagon i'm building for ramzoom...So I thought I would share some pics of the 59 were working on.
Been working on it for a few days and makeing alot of progress.......The old engine and ****** has been pulled to make room for a DOHC quad 4 engine and four speed transmission. The engine has been rebuilt & painted along with the front suspension.I should be able to have the new engine set in place by the weekend so I can start fabing the mounts. I will post pics as the work gets done.

I'll be watching this closely. I'm going to be putting a turbo 2.3 in a '60.

1st, you failed to mention it was supercharged with Mikuni carbs, COOL! 2nd, is that an Eaton M90? 3rd, how did you get around the stock torque tube rear axle?

Oh yeah its supercharged:). It is a Eaton M62. The carbs are Keihin 50mm siedrafts. Keeps getting more interesting huh! More progress in the next week or so. There is no torque tube on an American..just the bigger Ramblers...

Blower intake started and tensioner and alternator in place. We are going to build a box to raise the blower a bit. Electronics for spark are mounted in the old fan area of the firewall.

Yes we are keeping the original front suspension..swapping the front suspension on a Rambler American is a pain. The front end in this car is in pretty good shape and they are pretty strong. I did not want to cut the car up under the hood which is what one usually must do to swap the drivetrain. I wanted to be able to convert a Rambler to something modern without major cutting. As you can see we did not have to change the front suspension, cut the inner fenders, firewall, or trans tunnel. If you want to see a cut up Rambler check out my rotary powered American wagon:) This car is being modified purposely without major cutting if poss. The wagon is a differentt story....

ramzoom, are you using the original rear springs with that Ford rearend? I was thinking about using an S-10 axle under my 54 Rambler.
