hi, i have a couple of cooling system questions that i cant find out about when i search. first i have a cross flow radiator that sits a little lower then the engine, so i have put one of those blocks with a radiator cap in place of a thermostat housing. it comes with a 21-25 pound Stant cap. what pound cap should i use on it, and what cap should i use on the radiator? open system with a puke tank. second question; do i need a hose between the water pump and intake manifold or not? not running a heater. this is a 408 sbc, 11:1 CR engine. its running at 185 degrees, but havent had it out yet. thanks, pkj

You probably want to leave the high pressure cap on the block, and use a normal 13 or 16 psi cap on the radiator, where the puke tank connects, so it should blow out that one first. No need for a hose on it, there's a byp*** p***age where the water pump connects to the block, that extra little hole at the bottom.
