I was talking to my dad about the starter hole in the block of my 51 being cracked. He said if I found an old model straight shift with a cast iron bellhousing that I could put that ****** in my truck since the starter bolts to the bellhousing. I have found a 70 C-10 with a 350 3spd for $200. I was wondering if you knew what kind of bellhousing would be on that truck. Thanks for any help

70 would use the starter that bolts to the block. Last year for bell mount starters was about 64-65 as I recall.

Chevy trucks with manual transmission used a bellhousing mount starter thru 1972.
