Well didn't see one started so it must be my turn to start the thread, so here's a couple ones i built when i was alot younger but havn't posted up yet. Don't worry i built some new stuff just haven't goten around to getting pictures [/IMG] [/IMG] [/IMG]
I like the vette dragger, how about those wide fronts on the old 32 kits though, lol. I got another of last years starts finished this week, I'm slow... It is a Revell merc with the chop "fixed" to have better flow. Added fade away fender line, front roll pan, extended front fender/light bucket, side trim, Pontiac bumperettes, and lowered the ride all around(especially in the back
those wide tires on the 32 are actually out of a corvette kit i had laying around, and were for the road race version of the vette
What was your solution to the poor "factory" chop? I like the way it came out. I've talked to alot of people about this and it seems like everyone has a different way of dealing with the roof.
OK, I have had a slight obsession with pre-painted and/or snap kits. This is the last one of these Polar Light kits I will build using all the kit parts. I love this Coronet body, I wish Lindberg would make a 64 Coronet with this roofline! I have a couple of old Johan kits to build. This fictional USAC build was totally re-painted, chrome removed, I used the kit motor, no detail, but stuck a hip looking Nascar aircleaner on it, it's the wedge motor, Scratch built a simple 1965 cage, and after market wheels, tires, and decals! The next one will be Butch Hartman's '65 USAC ARCA ride, using this same body on a Lindberg Dodge 330 chassis and a hemi! Stay tuned!
Here's my first build of this nature, a quasi fictional Joe Leonard/Nichels USAC ride. (The real car was a 64!) Factory paint, my decals, roll cage ,exhaust, wheels, and tires added And an AMT pre-painted 67 (soon to be a 68) Impala WIP
well i haven't done much, been working on rebuilding the moonglow model i built a while back i've been getting more modles than building them!
I love the 57, I remember watching those cars race at Wytheville Dirt track in Va in the late 60's, Thanks!
ha ha I know that feeling. Count me in on that one too. It takes me a couple of months just to get a simple curbside built and it is not because I am detailing the hell out of it either. Not much time.
Slim, man how much spare-time do you really have? More finished builds than I change underwear )) Nice work!!!
