Well, it's been a while since i've posted anything or substance on this thing so i figured tonight i'd throw something up for those who have either followed along, or sent me pm's asking about it.
i know i know..MORE about this GD truck! I'll keep this as short as i can i promis..
I started driving it just under 2 week's ago and have put a little over 500 miles on it already working out whatever bug's show up.
Luckily there have only been a few.
Anyway, it's drive's straight, handles and rides real nice, dosn't s****e anything which surprised me honestly, has more then enough "go" to back the image as far as a daily driven truck is concerned, and is honestly a great driving truck.
It's been a ROYAL pain in my *** building it, but i think now i can say it was worth it i guess.
Overall it may not look like much was done because to be honest, i like the way it looked to begin with which was why i bought it.....it already had the look i liked..But, it's actually "new" ALL the way around now.
I've even hauled stuff with it already..:)
I'll post a few before and after pics just for fun. Many have been posted before so if that bug's you, sorry in advance. And also sorry for the poor quality of some of these. A few were from my cell phone camera so they are far from clear..

I love the dash, hell, I like the whole truck. Do you have any other interior shots?

Actually, i don't have many inside shots at all. Pretty much the one i posted is the only current one i have. I could probably take a couple more and post them tomorrow sometime..
As far as more pics, well, i have a folder with a **** load of them through all the stages on the build because i tore it down to a bare frame and started over. But, aside from the few i've taken this week with my phone, that's it..
    Here's a couple from a few day's before i started driving it.
I did a post a couple week's back with these in it..so these are repost's..but i hosted them at another site so i'm not stealing bandwidth :)

Most will never know the huge amount of work went into fixing that old rig. Nice work.

A-bone..aint that the truth and thanks!....I'm just glad i can drive it now, and i learned a LOT rebuilding it..so it's all good in the end..

Midwest Rodder, thanks. I did the dash, but the doors were done when i got it. I just finished them. There were NO latches at all, just those sliding safety pins, and the hinges needed some "m***aging" to work right..
I can say i'd never build another car with suicide doors though, unless they came that way. :)

Excuse me, I'm not a Chevy guy, but that is really a sweet job you did.The dash is really a neat job, the bed work is right on, you must be very proud of the end result. Keep it looking great, Ice man

DRUGASM, you are right. Once you start driving them, you kind of forget what it took to get there.
    Thanks guy's.

MAN...that thing sure has a NICE chrome grille!!! :D (Tony knows what I mean by that.) The truck looks awesome Tony. Congrats, I know you are proud. I'm still scrambling trying to finish some things before the NSRA show in York. Hope to see you at a show buddy. Keep in touch.

Actually, the truck was a roadster at some point and even thought the top was half***ed put back on, the doors were never finished. They were just cut off and capped so your right on the money, hardtop kinda thing. I went to a local yard and grabbed two doors off another truck and grafted the top's of them to my bottoms then chopped em to fit the roof.
The caps and rims i sold last year to fund more **** for it. They were cool caps though. 55 chevy style made to work on Rally's.

Tater...hope we do cross path's someday. I wanna see your truck in person...thanks for the compliment on the grill :D:D

Ya otta flip another grille bar upside down under the bottom one to fill the gap left by the bumper (unless youre gonna run one) it looks trick. Dad and I built a 54 when I was little punk. Thats what we did. I miss that truck. Urs kicks ***!

Thanks. Still undecided if i will run a bumper up front. That's pretty much why i left it as is for now. This winter i will make a choice and get that area finished. For now i'm just driving the hell out of it. :)

Colts, it's only 1.5" off the frame.

mines about that low off the frame. Can you PM some pics of the floor, and the interfender wells. Iv got a 49 that iv been working on for almost 3 years and i wanted to have it ready to drive when i got my licences but its not all together yet and iv had my licences for almost a year

Aside from the tunnel work, the floor is essentially stock. But i do have some photo's of the tunnel i can forward. I made it to clear the trans, and also continued it to clear the driveshaft as well. So it actually run's from the firewall to the rear panel of the cab..
The inner fenders are actually original ones that i cut up to clear the frame etc. I must have taken at least 5" off the bottom on them, or more. I have no photo's of them so i'd have to take them and get em on here..
I can do it, but it won't be for a few days if that's cool.

I'm working on '52 on a s10 also. My wife wanted an all black truck but, I was never sold on the look till now. Could you p*** along the orange rally/tire sizes and offsets. My thoughts were almost the same but w/ electric blue wheels. I also like the reversed running boards. Also how much chop has been done. Thanks
