Flathead full flow oil filter

    So can you perform this modification without striping your engine down.
    Any photos of were to drill and tap the two holes? Also were can i find a cheap external oil filter that looks vintage.

    You will have to pull it down to do it right.Go to flat head Jack web site and i think he has photo of where you have to drill and other important info.

    anytime you are drilling and tapping the oil galleries the motor has to come down to get the chips out. anything else is asking for disaster

    ok I have a 51 merc engine and the oil feed to the filter is coming from the top and the regular oil connection is blocked does this engine have full oil flow?

    No. The time to do it is at major overhaul time, any other time will cause a disaster.
    The block needs some holes drilled in where none were before, and one oil galley needs to be made bigger and tapped.
