congrats on ***embling your own motor ... BUT What the **** would make you think posting a thread about your late model pickup on a PRE 64 TRADITIONAL HOT ROD AND CUSTOM forum is a good idea?
Perhaps because everything he learned could be applied to a PRE 64 TRADITIONAL HOT ROD OR CUSTOM? Nice job on the engine though, sounds absolutely amazing...
this is very true i am in the hunt for my first new old toy tring to get my great uncle to give up a 58 chevy Short wide that been sitting out in the country and the ***le is in the family's gl*** shops name to this day never changed.
Breaking a cam in is the longest 25min of my life but it was all worth it and was scared to death when it would not rev past 3000 rpm until we relized the msd 6al had the 3000 rev limiter in it but we quickly changed it to a 6000 awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That thing sounds awesome man. There is no feeling like the motor you just built rolling over and sounding mean...better than ***! Your truck is a bit OT, but your engine build is very ON topic. You have more pics of the engine build? heads? pistons? details? congrats!
engine is a SBC with Edelbrock E-tec 170cc heads, Edelbrock RPM intake, Roller tip rockers, Comp cams mutha thumpr cam, stock alum flat tops, ****** headers, dual flowmaster 40's, MSD 6AL, Blaster 2 coil, HEI, Holley carb.
First, I think you should realize that this isn't the place for a thread like this. Granted it relates as far as engine building goes but it really has nothing to do with "traditional rods and customs". Can a Honda with a fart can be far behind? Moderators, please remove this before it multiplys. Frank
