Here's what I did this weekend, polished some little aluminum things. Like our 25 foot 1946 Spartan Manor. I'm very, very tired right now... And I shrunk wagon...
The best thing about polishing aluminum is the more you rub on it the better it looks. You did a great job people will be mad at you on sunny days on the high way.
That looks awesome! Now just the other side is left to do! HAHA. Don't be parking it under that pine tree!!
Thats going to look very 50 ish going down the highway with that woodie pulling it. Time for a roadtrip! Looks good
Give a good man a buffer and a 5gal bucket of 'outshine' and see what you get! Now to do the top. Looks great, thats a sweet rig for sure.
It'll look pretty good for a couple of years. Should be easier next time, as I can just use the final grade polish. I had done a very quick and dirty first cut last year, but it hadn't been polished, so it was lots of work this time. I threatened to paint it, but it does look good this way.
........... W O W, we lived in a brand new one from 1950 to 55 and I don't ever remember it looking like that when it was new .
Looks Awesome---from now on, sendin all my aluminum to your house for poslishing!!! I hate doin it - but there is still something MAGICAL about it- anyone else feel this way?
I know it's too late now, but next go 'round, you might consider investing in an air powered buffer. They are SO much lighter !
Cool trailer! They just don't make 'em like that anymore?! I know a guy that was too lazy to rub on his and he painted it dog barf yellow. It looks as bad as it sounds too. There's no accounting for taste..
Nice work. What brand of polish are you using? I can appreciate your effort. I am polishing my 1966 aluminum bread truck using Jestco polishing products. Having to smooth out some old 60 grit scares. Mike
Man oh Man...I polish my own stainless and aluminum stuff on 8" buffing wheels...but that takes it to a whole new level....Great work!!! And your wagon and trailer pics rock...Very traditional...
