Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by choprods, Sep 20, 2004.

  1. Are ther no RAT RODDERS in the midwest?I was wanting a frame for a '34 3 window ford of mine and this was on ebay- I decided to bid the opening bid and arranged transport just in case it was affordable.....
Well I put it on my favorites and thought -FAT CHANCE even a hacked up frame would be something I should consider buying.
I tuned in about ten minutes to the end of sale and was still hi bid at 50.00!
so I began the click/refresh part of the last 20 seconds.....and low and behold I was ready for him and two buddys to shill it up to his Idea of what he wanted....
    And damn! guess what?
A newbie bidder started hacking it up a dollar at a stroke in the last ten and only bumped it up to [[[[[[[$54.00$!!!!!!!-I cant believe I bout anything for that
Its a frame /entire front ssuspension and a tourqu tubr rear with both springs!

  2. I can redo the kickup I suppose...... [IMG] awful high priced though!

Looks like a model A wishbone and front axle too.

Good buy on the frame though, it looks like something I would start with [IMG]

Make sure you kiss the guy after it is loaded up and before you leave for home. It's customary when this kind of act is consumated. [IMG]
    You lucky dog!!!! Nice score.

  8. Believed to be a 34 frame -said it was from a 34 pickup...its in Fort Worth Texas.
I already secured BEN D to haul it home from Day of the Drags on the 3 Oct.
I dont have pics of my bodies -a 5W and a3W but they are kinda ratty [IMG]

That is a good score. I prefer to work with old frames even if they require a lot of work. They just look better under the kind of cars most of us here build. There's something about looking under a cool patined old body and seeing a fabricated frame that turns me off. I understand that you sometimes have no option when your building a total cartoon car, I'm talking about a basic stock body look.

Not too bad! I got my complete '32 V8 ch***is from the junkyard for $25, though. The engine was missing, but they delivered it for free.
Oh, yeah, that was in 1969...
