I went to the NSRA show in Bakersfield and look what I found. A 32 roaster about 85% just need tlc. I will not have to change much.
Its a 3/4 flathead 40 3 speed, 352 gears in the RE body super straight. Pritty much old school. every thing work on it.
It's a Model A alright...At least it looks like one to me...just with a cowl vent added? I thought someone had done weird, unspeakable things to a '32 frame, but now that explains that. Looks cool, however...
De Nile is a river in egypt nice A// I just hope you made the right deal on it ahh just caught the price..22G's
If you bought that roadster under the illusion that it was a '32, you got stung......it is a '30-31 Model A body.......easy to tell by the ribbed rear wheel wells and no flares....... Still a very nice car and if you paid $22 G's it's a great deal! CB
My guess is it's a tribute to an old fraternity that i was also apart of...Alpha Gamma Rho...hence EX AGR...i've got at least 4 friends who have the AGR on their own vanity plates~~~Just an idea?
What about the door hinges, the firewall, the tank seam in the cowl, body lines, and the proportions? I say A. Sorry...I like it though...
definitely a Model A - Windshield Posts, rear fender lip, ribs in fender wells, hinges etc. saltflat racer with his model a g***er Huh?
Its a nice car no matter what year, it probably matters to you ifn' you bought it thinking its a 32 and "your in for the money" in later years. although it will still bring nice coin, as you proved, its still not a 32. damn sure not bashing, its beautiful and it looks to be priced fair to me. drive piss out of it and have fun!
