37 and feel 57 but my in mind I am still 18 !!! I had a hard paper round.. When I look around at the people I went to school with .I think I have held up to what I said when I was 16.Never let the bastards grind you down!!I am still messing with old cars. I really do not fit in with the norm over here , sure thats thats the way it should be..
I will be 23 in a few months. Unfortunately, I feel like a 17 year old with too many responsibilities. And is good to see that I am not the only wierdo who likes stuff too old for his parents to know about.
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] your 15 and have a 2 cars???woa!! [/ QUOTE ] yeah but neither of em run hahaha [/ QUOTE ] still that awesome
56 here... I'm just wondering, If the cross section of ages isn't pretty much the same as the Census cross section of (adult) people anyway? Anyone know what the age range is of "average Americans" (or UKers or Swedes or Ausies,,,, )
56 as of April. I believe that the number of 50 and up guys doing the old car thing may be a good bit higher than the results of the poll show...............due to the fact that a lot of them are not computer literate. I know I had NO USE for one until I had a heart attack and was confined to home for about 3 months. My wife (she's the one who accepts new technology in our family SCHOOL TEACHER ) had a computer and internet for 2 years (in our home) before I even looked at it. A lot of people I know in the car world do not have a computer. I mean smart, knowledgeable car people. They just have never been exposed to it. Children will expose you to it.....if you have some....we don't.
Old enough to know better than to waste time and money on cars, but still dumb enough to keep doing it...
hell just scrape in as a gen-xer i'm 28 but still only feel 16 - apart from the back pain and the shot knees and all the other injuries i've done myself - when i die i don't wanna get there all well preserved and looking good - i wanna die cos i've thrashed my body and it's totally worn out i wish i had the income i had when i was 18 - dumb choices anyway they say: you have to be young and stupid to become old and wise i feel as if i'm in the middle now with 2 many responsibilities and a heap of bills
27, hopefully young enough that I won't get my butt kicked when I step into the ring on Oct. 9th, haha.
24, but my students think I'm at least 27, and I've been arrested in Canada for running over someone during a bar fight(or so the rumor goes ). -Jeff
51 this year, still going strong, mostly, and I think I remember what most of the other grey beards are talking about, but hey it was the sixties. And thank God I'm still addicted to acceleration.
Have you been guilty of looking at others your own age and thinking.. surely I can't look that old? If so, you may enjoy this short story. While waiting for my first appointment in the reception room of a new dentist, I noticed his certificate, which bore his full name. Suddenly, I remembered that a tall, handsome boy with the same name had been in my high school class some 30 years ago. Upon seeing him, however, I quickly discarded any such thought. This balding, gray-haired man with the deeply lined face was way too old to have been my classmate. After he had examined my teeth, I asked him if he had attended the local high school. "Yes," he replied! "When did you graduate?" I asked. He answered, "In 1968. Why?" "You were in my class!" I exclaimed. He looked at me closely and then the son of a bitch asked, "What did you teach?"
