My favorites are still the old timer open wheelers, but these guys do some pretty good racing, too.

  9. North East Metal, nice pix of roadsters, however, the ambulance in the background is a bit unnerving. I assume there were occasional mishaps????

For those of you that didn't hear.. Brett Burdett got hurt pretty bad at L-Burg Sat night. I wasn't there but saw the video. Looks like he climbed a tire with his right rear, jumped the ass end up in the air and when it did, the Low sway bar dug in. Last I heard they transported him to Indy, I'd say so that Dr. Trammel (spl) can take car of him.

Here's to a speedy recovery, hope you get well soon.

if you wanna see it, here is Video of the crash.. Plus, be sure to also watch the "Gains in-car" footage. It's RAW SPRINT CAR RACING!

    Brett is third row inside.

Also, I hear Robert Baloo (spl?) after winning L-burg Sat night was injured at Kokomo Sun.

I wish him a "get well soon" also.

When Dad and I were running our 60's with the WRA in the 90's, I ran a good 25% load in my car a few times. I'm here to tell you, the nitro helped Roger, but that Bobby Meeks '60 in Vic's car and Roger's right foot were a big part of that win too. It was no fluke either. After cleaning up at Gilmore on Thursday night, they took the Ford to San Berdoo on Saturday night and did the very same thing.

Thanks to all for supplying pics and info. mlight9, C. Booth car #89 on page 107 appears to be the same car as '66 with a few minor changes, but can't be certain?

I hope he recovers well. I read he had some cracked vertebrae. I really thought this was going to be his break out year, he did real well out west at the end of last year and the beginning of this one.

Does anyone have action pics of the cars of the legendary teams such as the HOW team, Bromme Team, WJW Team, Smith Speed Shop, and anymore of A J Watson cars? Dirt Cars and Sprints, even Midgets. USAC, IMCA, URC, CRA, etc.
Thanks in advance for any help.

    Spike,
not picture of the team but here are a couple of the Luije built roadster that Elmer drove for the HOW team in 61 and 62. The midget was not one of the HOW cars--we simply painted it to match for the owner. These photos are probably posted earlier in this thread but it is easier to put them up again rather than look back that far.

When the biggest part of dampening is taking place on the right front,
there is no need to overdo the left front. you know all left turns weight transfer and centripitel force all going right.
