Anyone have any idea if something like this is made? I've checked almost everywhere local and all the big parts stores online....

I need one simular to the pic, but both ends need to be male threads. one side 1/8 NPT and the other side needs to be 3/16 flange (bubble) MALE. I'm drawing a blank look on almost any parts stores faces, checked all the hardware stores and searched online....pulling my hair out because this is the only thing keeping me from driving....

Years ago, my dad was looking for a similar part, but it needed to make a 90* bend going into the caliper on the front of my RPU. However, nothing existed, so he wound up having to take a Tee fitting and braze one end/side of it closed.

Wonder if that'd be possible with what you're working on?

Any decent Parker-Hannifin dealer should have them. You may have a Motion Industries or Berry Bearing in Milwaukee. NAPA stores that cater to agricultureral areas may also carry them.

  9. by bubble do you mean a metric bubble or a jic fitting. jic stuff is either a hydraulic shop or earls/russell. first pic is a metric bubble and the second is a male jic to male pipe.

Or if the flare angle is 45* it would be a SAE flare.JIC is 37*

  12. true the double flare is a SAE 45*, i was thinking he was maybe talking about an AN fitting which is a 37* JIC.......i could be wrong though :D.

Looks like a fitting for a brake residual pressure valve. Most good parts stores should have it.

go to oreileys ask for a flaring tool give them about 25 bucks and then remake the ends on whatever you're doing so they aren't weird. i crawled under cars for two days looking for a very specific piece i needed and then i bought a flaring tool and it took about 3 minutes to finish everything.

if you can't find the one, get the two, and braze them together. grind, polish, done.

Sorry for not adding all the info needed....I have a thru frame fitting for running the brake lines. Both sides on the thru frame is 1/8 NPT, the fitting in the pic is works for the hard line coming in, my problem is the other side that connects to the rubber brake line(heading the the wheel cyl). before using the thru frame thing, hard line went straight to the rubber line, no problem....with the thru frame thing, now i had to get adapters to match up the lines. I believe the McMaster-Carr fitting 50635K371 is the ticket.
    I think problem solved....

  20. i don't think that's gonna work for you. you said it was hard line into rubber hose before and all you added was a through frame fitting. you need a male inverted flare to pipe fitting. it also needs to be male to male which i think is going to be odd.

check out the br*** catalog and it tells you what each style of fitting is.

Keep in mind that the "bubble" flare is not the same thing as the good ol' 45-deg inverted flare. The bubble flare is used typically on metric-sized line on modern vehicles. You need to be sure what style you need before you start buying parts; the flares aren't interchangeable.
