So I typed out this long introduction and then lost it all during the post process. Anyway, I'm just another middle aged single gearhead from the mid-Atlantic area, I'm into budget builds(half ***ed and cheap!). AMC/Nash loyalist due to family tradition and familiarity. Also known to go off the AMC reservation for aluminum block Olds 215 motors(got one that's waiting for a project) and absolutely ratty old pickups. The one pictured below has been thru 3 family members over the last 25 years, I pulled out in front of a Ford ****** who was doing about 40 mph and he caught it right in front of the drivers side wheel. Frame bent at the crossmember, but removal of the inner fenders and judicious application of torch heat, along with 2 stout trees and a lot of chain and come-along brought it back to the awesome condition you see here. Note the custom touches to include the headless '54 Nash Flying Lady hood ornament(she's either a Vargas or a Petty girl, lost her head one sad day and it cracked the windshield), the Rambler turn signals, and the aftermarket overflow bottle. The original 307 will start even when it's 0 deg. ambient. I'm also a fan of rockabilly music and play a little b*** from time to time, as well as a full blown rat rod and pinup art fan. This place feels like home. Pat D
