Hi, I am from ny and i just bought a 1947 ford 1 1/2 ton pickup.
I am shooting for a modern rat rod style. Right now it has a flathead v8 with a single barrol carb. I am looking for anyone that has any info on what i need to do to put a 302 small block in it. Can i buy some motor mounts to bolt right where the flathead mounts. if so can some one tell me were thanks. I also have the flathead that came out of the truck forsale.

Hi there! I'm from NY also-from what part do you hail? I'm in Southwestern NY, near Jamestown and still looking for a project truck. I think you may want to go to killbillet.com for some more ideas on how to get your truck looking the way you want.

Looks like a great start on a project--hope to see a build thread sometime! What's the status of the flathead? Will it turn over?
