289 ford v8 timing

I have a 289 Ford, and I'm not sure what to set the timing to. Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

Start at about 8degrees before BDC..and advanve from ther to suit your needs..Iusually go 12 to 14 BTDC

 

Mine is somewhere around 14-16 advanced. They like to have the timing put into them so don't be shy.
