I work for a Danish Pharma company here in the US. And I hope to be able to visit Denmark some day. I'm trying to learn Danish.(I know its very difficult) but I'm determined.

Are there alot of Danish hot rod enthusiasts? Anywhere you would recommend I go or sites I should see if I do make it to Denmark?

And could someone PM me any car related or hotrod/custom related terms in Danish. I'm interested in learning as much as I can.
Any pics of Danish hot rods or events would be awesome too.

    Thanks guys.

From what I hear, it is really hard to have hot rods for them. Lot's of regulations and such. Their inspection cost(yearly) was close to 2000.00 bucks...I had a couple guys through the shop. I got them into SEMA and gave them some shirts.. Jaosn.

@ Stone: It's hard to say how many danes are into the traditional hot rod and kustom culture, but I'd say probably between 300-400 out of a population of 5 million.

I administer the site www.traditional-hotrods.dk, which is (sorry) all in danish. Reason for this being that we needed a common meeting "ground" outside the HAMB.

Most danes, interested in hot rods and kustoms, frequent the hokey ass message board so feel free to contact me aswell.

    Regards,

    Thomas

I would believe danish to be one of the hardest languages to learn. We get by though ;-)

I'm Danish, and would love to have a "real" hotrod. Sofar, though, I have to settle for "The Swedish Hotrod", the Volvo PV544. Looks like a baby Ford!

Mine is a '61, baby blue, and rusty as hell!

There is a HAMB link about the model here:

    No Pics of mine, yet!

Depending on where in Denmark you´re planning to go. If you go. Copenhagen are only a short drive away from Sweden. We have all sorts of meets all summer. I live in Sweden but work in Denmark and it´s only a 20 min drive for me to get to work. Denmark is great but they have not as many US cars, yet.

I will be leaving for Copenhagen tomorrow. I'm excited. I only wish I had more than a few days to enjoy more of Denmark. I hope to sample many of the local øl (beer if I typed it correctly).

And it is a work trip so I will have to contain my excitement and get some work done.

Copenhagen was awesome. I drank to much at the Dubliner on the strogot. I wish I had more of a chance to see more of Denmark. All I got to see was some of Cponhagen( the walking street) and some of the sceneary as my cab took me to my seminar/workshop a the gentofte hotel(if I spelled that right).
