First off let me start by saying this is totally my fault, but it's a good story never the less. I had to mow the lawn and needed someway to keep my son cooped up for 5-minutes (small lawn). The wife was up the street and sissy was too. The kids first words were Dadda and hot rod, Good sign for later. So I thought to myself, self let him play in your 54 chevy. Sounds like a good idea right, right. Long story short, I learned 2 valuable lessons tonight the kids strong enough at 1 1/2 to pull an automatic outta park on a slight hill and a good wood block is worth its weight in garage doors! Next project is e-brake. Everybody and everything is ok but the door is bent now and the bumper is ever so slightly flattened. But the best part of the story is the kid didn't want out he just wanted to keep playing and kept shifting!

Good to see you all enjoyed this. After it was all said and done I'm actually pretty proud of him. Next stop Famoso and the Nostalgia drags for him fer sure. Hey Ron it's good to see your name in print. Man thanks again for haulin' that motor back for me, and you were absolutely correct about the roadster show it was *****in'. Nothin' new in the garage yet but the pile of A parts is growing monthly and I did find a 6-71 for the 327. So who knows what time will bring. If you've got a line on some blower parts drop me a P.M. Stay cool

    Thanks, Tim

Yeah I know I was hoping to not have to o down this road with junior but I guess it's inevitable for our family! Hell at least he knows how to put it in gear know. If only his legs would reach the gas we'd have a dragster pilot for sure.

My sister did that same exact thing to my dad's old '55 handyman wagon. She was about 2 years old. I was in the p***enger seat and got over and tryied to put it back into park while it was rolling down the hill. No luck. I was 5 years old.

Ahh I remeber my first crash. I was 5.

My uncle put me in his 56 Chev truck to drive back to the farm. Alone in the truck he said "Dont look back, just go straight" What did I do? Looked back and hit a brush pile at idle speed in first. Made a little dent, Uncle was kinda mad but got over it.

I hope my kids crash a car when they are under 5. I think it makes them car people [IMG]
