I am trying to get this 9" rear end together and Napa had got me the wrong axle flange gasket for mine they gave me a 55001 Fel-Pro and the holes don't line up, I have a 58-63 9" rear end with the large bearing can anybody help me with the right part number for this gasket, this is the one that goes between the axle and the backing plate for the brakes Thanks

they make them though anyone hardly ever runs them , sorry cant help you with a part # but if your parts counter guy is friendly ask to look through his book and there should be a pic. of the big bearing flange ! show him the difference and he should be able to order the right one !

  5. Napa does have them , but i never use them...i really don't see what they do. the axle bearing is sealed and there is a axle seal to the inside of the bearing. i suppose if you had a leak it may help contain the oil?

  6. Have you tried rockauto.com You can use their number if they show it.

I know what you are talking about. The stock setup has two different gaskets and that difference is between the bottom two holes. Napa used to carry them but switched brands and now they don't. I have to get them from the repro places like dennis carpenter.
