That's right, it's OFFICIALLY greenlighted. So send me your photo submissions. You can email them to me or if they are too large, I can give you ftp instructions.

What I'm looking for: Atypical shots of hot rods be it yours or an artsy shot you took at a show of a HAMB caliber car. A picture that exudes emotion... when you look at it, you immediately "get it". No car show "snap shots". We're not do***enting who was where at any given time. The goal is to capture photographically the essense of why we are all on the HAMB in an artistic manner.

Here's the layout. Vertical format this year. I know y'all have been taking some good shots. Wow me.

Deadline is OCT 15 on photo submission. Like I said earlier, it's late in the year. There's no time for procrastinators like last time. That just makes my job harder, and affects whether or not you can buy a big stack for Christmas. As always, all proceeds after expenses go to the HAMB.

I think there needs to be a separate Green Bean calendar.

I'll send you out a bunch of hi-res pics soon.
I am sure that I will get some good ones at the Day of the Drags in 2 weeks....
    I'll hold off till' then!
Any chance of re-considering the vertical format....
My best work is horizontal! [IMG]

Think of it as a challenge!

Also remember that the circle is going to obscure that lower portion of the shot. So think horizontal while you are shooting vertical. Does that make sense? The lower 1/3rd is "background"

The blue '36 is one of my favorite cars. That shot is exactly what I don't want, ie Street Rodder event coverage photos.

Don't forget you can always crop a cool photo into a vertical format, right? and, can we ***ume that the calendar part could just as easily be at the top instead of the bottom, depending on the photos layout?

The GMB would consider it an honor and privledge to be able to handle the packaging and distribution again this year. The HAMB can count on us to get them out!

Yes, very true on the cropping. I haven't decided if the month area will move up or down or be fixed. Depends on what kind of photos I get.

I like that first str8axle shot. I think I can work with that if it is your photo.

  29. Hadda add background and foreground, blur it, photoshop out the sign and crop it. But it fits the format, here ya go Mike.

I have a request, Greg told me mine was "tea-bagged" last time because I jokingly said I wanted mine first. I think I will opt out of both services this year and have mine sent whenever you get to it. [IMG]
