    Help!!!!!!!!!

I tore down what I thought was a 302 out of my 1970 Ford F-100 short-wide. The heads are definatly 302 by looking at the casting numbers. But, the block has no casting numbers and my new 302 crank wont fit right. The rear main seal flange lands in the wrong place and the crank dosen't sit in the bearings. How do I tell what block I have?

First off, this where you give us a story about yourself, hence, "Introduce yourself".....Secondly, the issue you are addressing belongs in one of the other sections here. So start over, tell us about yourself, why you are a car freak, hot rodder, etc. and why you are here. The Old Timers here are pretty quick to hand out road rash. Follow along here, read all of the links across the top banner of the website, then read the "announcements" and "stickys" in all of the sections, use the search box at the upper right in the different sections FIRST---then ask questions. When you see abreviations you don't understand, it's because you didn't read the announcements and stickys in that section first. As for your block question, send me a Private Message by clicking on my name at the upper left of my post. But only do that after you have read all of the things I told you to read. It will help you immensly, I promise.
