Vintage drag racing

A friend of mine in Las Vegas sent this to me, and I thought you'd all like to see it too. This is Las Vegas racing (apparently some So Cal too) the way they used to do it... too cool!

Yeah, that's the old dragstrip in Henderson about 15 miles from Las Vegas in those days. It must have been about 1958 or so. Went there many times.

daddio211: That's really great footage. I'm trying to assemble some vintage drag racing footage for a documentary. Do you think you could ask your friend if he would mind if I contacted him about it? It's very hard to source down the original footage of some of this historical stuff, and I'm trying to archive any that I can find, but I need to track down the most original copy as possible for quality reasons. If you can help, thanks.
