    Niiiiiiccceeee

But I would paint the inside of the i beam axle on the front in the body color, that´s what I want to do to my pick up too - white axle with body color touches but with a black frame.

White, light gray, and silver were used on race cars to show oil leaks and cracks, nice job.

I spent a summer with relatives just outside Eugene Oregon back in the early sixties. When I was in Eugene I recall seeing cars with white undercarraiges. Seems like wheel wells and all. I had never seen that before, or since that I can recall. Now I will have to go back and dig out the Street Roder that has Dave's 40 in it and see if there are pics of that white on his. Joe

Nope its not new, white is the way we did it back in the 50's. Remember the H.A.M.B. is all about hotrodding they way it used to be.

Trust me that frame is the farthest thing away from looking cheap. Im not a jealous person, but that ch***is is up to par. Those are big words coming form a guy who hates Nate.....and his white shoes.

Look at the vintage Trans am racers. They are all a light gray, almost white underneath.
You can see stuff easier, it reflects heat away, and you know when your helpers are slacking off on the cleanup!
Plenty of old rods done that way too, just make sure to keep it all in the same period. Of course, anyone that is willing to go through the prep needed and knowing the amount of cleaning required in the future has already come to terms with that!
