I just picked up a 348 Tri Power manifold at a swap meet. The splash shield on the bottom is a little weak, and it may take a while to find another. Does anyone know if the 348 4 bbl unit is the same?

Yeah, they are the same. I had to use the one off of my 4 bbl intake, on my 3x2 intake.

Just remembered one other thing. My 4 bbl intake was a 59, and the 3x2 was a 60. Seems like some 58 intakes were slightly different???:confused::confused: With a really small shield???:confused::confused:

The very early manifolds didn't have a byp***. I expect this made the shape a little different. The original idea is that they would be aluminum, but they ended up cast iron.
