Congratulations, Chad! A new piece by Django made it onto the cover of the new Hometown Hot Rods! Unfortunately, he isn't credited for it, but he needs no introduction. :D

Included in the issue are coverage of the World of Weels/Autoramas in Indianapolis (hosted by the Road Rockets) and Chicago (hosted by HotRodCh***is and Django) and a great reprinted article by GMCBubba.

Cool, that 36 looks really good! He certainly knows his way around a Wacom Tablet.

I wondered who did that...I should've known since it had a '36 in it...I searched the whole mag, twice, for the credit...I hope John prints a "correction" in the next issue...

Hey, thanks everybody! The cover was alot of fun. My wife is stoked that she finally can say she's a cover model, albeit an animated one! :D Hahaha!

My car was supposed to be featured in this issue, hence the design of the cover. But unfortunately it didn't work out that way, so it will be in the next issue. That is probably why the credit was overlooked.

The cover art was the first time I had done my thing in full color, and I learned alot. One thing lead to another, and I did a print called Atomic Sunrise that is for sale now. Weesner, Norwell, and Tuck are some of my creative heroes for hot rod art, and this kinda pushed me into that direction. http://www.djangostudios.com

I'm not quitting either day job, but it's something to do for fun. I have the next 2 prints underway already.

No wacom for me. I do it old school. Mouse. Click. Drag. ;) :D

Awesome man! As a pretty novice designer I always am looking up to people that have been doing it for a while. You work is nice and clean as it should be. Love the style man!!!

dont forget - you were on the cover of our magazine first!

of course now that you are a big shot you wont remember the little guys huh?

and I gave you credit for your art..........

but I did forget to give credit to Josh Kurpius for the actual photo....... so we all forget stuff sometimes - I am sure that John will give you proper credit in the next issue.

Nice job Chad. I actually picked that edition up a few days ago and although I know your wife and your car, it never crossed my mind that the cover was either of em. But I see it now.

I probably need to get in on the ground floor of the prints....

Congratulations on the cover, that's something not many people can say they have done.

Right you are John. I added the Vintage Torque to my site. Rome wasn't built in a day! :D hahaha!

Tyler, I can bring some prints to the Czar-B-Que, if you are coming to that.
