I am having an issue that I hope someone could give me a little insight about. I am running a 33 chevy chassis. Instead of running the 17" wheels I am running 15" steelies. My only problem is the end of the tie rods connecting to the steering arms, is hitting the inside lip of my wheel rim.
I really dont want to run the larger rims. Is there an easy solution to this dilemna. Thanks for the help guys.

I take it that this occurs ONLY in an extreme turn?
Does your car still have the spindle turn stops, or does Chevy have spindle turn stops, most cars do in some form or other?

no it touches the lips of the wheels while they are straight.

So this is a stock 33 chevy front end setup?

Does it barely touch it? Is there any of it that you can grind off if it is just close?

  5. pictures would be a big help

I would double check the spacers that go between the spindle and the steering arm. Did you leave them out? Do you have a drawing of how the stock assembly went together? You may have missed something there.

yes it barely touches but still touches. It looks to be the stock front end.

the easy options are bigger wheels or wheel spacers
