Did these Halibrands have a name, and are they rare?

Not at all... Just send them to me, and I'll get that old stuff outta your way. Really...? They are SUPER rare Streamliners. There's a black '32 floating around thru all the magazines right now with a set on it. Somebody on here will be able to tell you more than me... But my offer still stands... HaHa.

  5. Actually the Roadster is John Swanson's '29 A/V-8. It's on the cover of the April '09 issue of Street Rodder. Very cool !

This one was on ebay last month, but I almost have a set, I'm only short 4!

  8. This is the backside. Got it off of e-bah.

Looks like a wheel to help cool brakes more effectively. Road racing, late 60's early 70's is my guess.

... and a blurb from the STREET RODDER article regarding the wheels:

On the subject of Halibrand, the roadster is wearing an unusual set of wheels. The fronts came from the Mark Dees
collection, which were reported to have come from the Mickey Thompson Pumpkin Seed Bonneville car and another MT
front-wheel-drive streamliner. The rear 18x7 Halibrands are also reported to be more B-ville wheels this time coming from
an early Art Arfons jet car.
