Just stopping in to intro myself. Recently shifted my automotive priorities back to the Rod side. Look forward to meeting/speaking with you. Anybody out there with some good Mopar info? 47 Plymouth project in the works. Thanks in advance...

    Gene-
Ever deal with the folks at PLy-Do? I've got a catalog on the way-they seem like a pretty decent bunch. I'm looking to do the disc brake conversion and get a good wiring harness. Any input would be great. Your son need anything for his? I have a parts car.Thanks...

Sorry to say I'm no longer a Plymouth owner I just sold my 34 PE Coupe, I know I'm sorry, but I had good luck with Mitchells in M***. They always advertise in Hemmings.

My son (he's 22) and I did the disc brake conversion from Ply-do on his car. If you do your own spindles, you have to drill out two holes to a 5/8" hole and you have to tap a 5/8" fine thread hole in the third hole. The spindles are akward to try to hold for drilling and tapping. The instructions are a little weak, or I was pretty stupid, maybe both? [IMG] [IMG] We put an 8 3/4 from an early 70s pickup in the 47, puts the tires close to the fenders with 7" rims, but they work. The truck rear had 11" brakes, along with the disc fronts, that thing really stops great. The car has a 360 with a small cam and headers, a 727, and 3:55 gears, its kinda fun.

Funny thing, we got the brake kit from Butches Rod Shop, they sent us a catalog. The parts were shipped from Ply-Do, but they never sent a catalog?? Several years ago I paid for a book from Ply-Do and never got it, now we get parts sent from them and still no book, I haven't ever seen a book from them. Its too bad too because we have several Mopars that they probably have parts for. Gene

Thanks everyone and thanks Gene-thats some good info. I'm gonna put together the 318 out of the Charger I just sold and run that for now. I have plans for something hemispherical (hehe) in the future. I just want a nice driver for me and the family for now...

Are you Bam Bam McConnell, Drummer for Sebastion Bach and of Madam X fame? That would be cool.
